To consider hosting a tracking evaluation, please contact any/all of the evaluators on the Resources in the section Other Resources or contact Mark Elbroch. Below are details regarding hosting an event. Please note all prices are subject to change without notice. The prices posted below will go into effect for evaluations booked after September 1, 2008.
Track and Sign Evaluations can be completed in 2 field days with a maximum of 10 people. We as evaluators charge 1 of 3 flat rate prices. We define distant as requiring a flight, and local as within driving distance:
In summary, here are the costs:
If distant evaluations are back to back, addition evaluations each $1500 or $2300 (2 evaluators.)
We’re still working out the details on pricing trailing evaluations, since they are so very labor intensive. Understand that only 2 people can be evaluated in a typical day, unless terrain and wildlife abundance make for greater opportunitiesÑthen 3 folks. As we are currently planning, participants will attend trailing evaluations for 2 days, and participate in others’ evaluations in the field, thus providing greater opportunity for self-reflection and trailing instruction.
In other words trailing evaluations will be given to groups of 4 people in 2-day blocks. CyberTracker costs will run in the realm of $300/person and then a host organization may add to this to cover their expenses.
**Trailing Evaluations are incredibly physically challenging and participants must be in excellent shape. Expect to walk miles off trail each day, and sometimes in rugged terrain. Wildlife too is unpredictable and may be dangerous.
